Shopfront

The studio floor, the Kampong Glam district, and how we read a brief before we reply.

Shutters folded back. The long table visible from Kandahar Street if you know where to look. Boost Haven Spark sits on the second floor of a shophouse between Bussorah Street and Arab Street — a studio for integrated marketing, not a co-working desk rental.

The studio floor

The second floor holds one long table, wall racks for reference materials, and a rear courtyard accessed through a narrow door. There is no open-plan noise — the room fits six people comfortably, eight at a stretch for a courtyard intensive.

We work from printed proofs whenever possible. Screens hide weight, spacing and the way a headline reads at arm's length. The studio keeps a printer, a pencil cup and a stack of blank hierarchy templates within reach of every seat.

Kampong Glam

Kandahar Street sits in the heart of Kampong Glam — Sultan Mosque visible from the corner, textile shops on Arab Street, cafés on Bussorah Street filling by mid-morning. The district has been a trading and craft neighbourhood for generations; our studio borrows its pace, not its nostalgia.

Clients visit from across Singapore and the region. The address is walkable from Bugis and Nicoll Highway MRT stations. We suggest arriving ten minutes early to find the stairwell — it is easy to miss on a first visit.

How briefs are read

Every enquiry starts the same way: someone reads the email aloud at the long table. We look for three things — the decision the sender needs to make, the timeline they believe they have, and the materials they already hold.

We reply within two working days with one of three responses: a request for more materials before we can assess fit, an invitation to an advisory session, or a straightforward note that the brief sits outside our craft. We do not send capability decks unprompted.

Fit matters. We specialise in campaign architecture and creative direction for companies with existing production capacity — internal teams, agency-of-record relationships, or freelance networks. We are not a production house and we do not buy media.

We decline briefs that seek guaranteed commercial outcomes, rank promises or media-buying-only engagements. Those requests belong elsewhere, and we say so plainly in our first reply.

The studio name reflects how we think about work: a haven for careful reading, a spark of clarity in the first line of a brief. Neither word is a promise about your market — only a description of how we behave at the table.

Who we are

The studio is small by design. A strategist, a creative director, a writer and a producer share the floor. Senior people do the work — nothing is delegated to unnamed juniors before it reaches a client.

We have worked with Singapore startups, APAC regional headquarters and family-owned businesses entering new markets. Sector matters less than the quality of the brief and the willingness to edit in pencil.

We opened this studio because too many campaigns launch with beautiful assets and no spine. Our job is the spine — the document everyone can point to when a channel drifts or a headline contradicts the landing page.

If that is the problem you recognise, we should talk.

We are an independent marketing agency on Kandahar Street. This site describes our craft, working methods and engagement shapes. Outcomes depend on market conditions, product strength, timing and decisions outside our control — nothing here promises a particular commercial result.

The studio opened in Kampong Glam deliberately. Founders and marketing leads visit more easily from the central business district, and the neighbourhood reminds us that craft still matters in a city that moves quickly. Bussorah Street cafés, Arab Street textiles and the evening call to prayer from Sultan Mosque are part of the daily rhythm — not backdrop, but context.

When you write to us, send what you have: website, deck, live campaigns. We read before we reply. That is the same courtesy we extend in every engagement.

The writer, strategist and creative director have worked together for several years — not assembled per project. Continuity matters when a campaign runs across quarters and the same voice marks your proofs in March as in September.
