Swatchbook

Anonymised sketches — category, situation, approach, qualitative outcome. No names, no logos, no figures.

A swatchbook in a textile shop holds small samples, not finished garments. These entries work the same way: enough to show method, never enough to identify a client or quote a result.

Three narratives across one product launch

Situation: A B2B software company preparing an APAC launch had different messaging on their website, sales deck and paid social — each written by a different team over six months.

Our approach: A two-week campaign sprint. We read all materials aloud in a courtyard session, marked contradictions, and drafted one message hierarchy. Channel mapping followed for web, LinkedIn and email.

Qualitative outcome: One consistent narrative across channels; sales and marketing referencing the same hierarchy document; production partners receiving a single creative direction pack.

Seasonal programme without a campaign spine

Situation: A household goods brand ran quarterly promotions with no connecting story. Each season felt disconnected; retail partners received inconsistent assets.

Our approach: Studio retainer over two quarters. We built a content system with three pillars tied to the brand narrative, then sequenced seasonal activations against the spine rather than as one-offs.

Qualitative outcome: Clearer brand continuity across seasons; retail partners working from one asset library; internal team producing on-brief content without re-briefing each cycle.

Property-level messaging drift

Situation: A hotel group with properties across Southeast Asia had each property marketing independently. Guest-facing copy varied widely in tone and promise.

Our approach: Launch programme for a repositioning year. Brand narrative document first, then property-level adaptation guidelines — what must stay fixed, what may vary by locale.

Qualitative outcome: Recognisable group voice with room for local character; property teams briefed from one master document; creative direction pack adopted by regional agencies.

Regulatory copy crowding the proposition

Situation: A financial technology company led every channel with compliance language. The core proposition — why someone should care — was buried below disclaimers on every surface.

Our approach: Advisory sessions plus async proof review. We separated regulatory requirements from marketing copy, rebuilt the message hierarchy with compliance as a supporting layer, not the headline.

Qualitative outcome: Clearer primary proposition on web and app store; compliance language preserved in correct placements; internal legal team signed off on the revised structure.

Partner-level thought leadership without a system

Situation: A consultancy published partner-authored articles with no editorial calendar, no content pillars and no connection to business development priorities.

Our approach: Content systems engagement. Three pillars mapped to practice areas, editorial calendar skeleton for two quarters, and a critique rhythm for partner drafts before publication.

Qualitative outcome: Coherent editorial programme; partner drafts reviewed against pillars before design; marketing team able to schedule without chasing individual partners.
